Description

A recent acquisition to Festival Inns in 2001, the Links Hotel and Bar now features 19 stylish bedrooms between the main building and annex. Located in a residential area, on the main bus route and only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Edinburgh this is an ideal location whether visiting the city for business or pleasure. Overlooking the Bruntsfield Links there is a patio area to enjoy al fresco eating and drinking, alternatively meals are served until 7pm each day in the bar. The Links Bar, with its sporting theme, is popular with the student community, locals and visitors alike. Licensed from 9am until 1am daily, you can be guaranteed a view of all major sporting events shown on the big screen and plasma screens. The extensive bar menu is served from 9am until 7pm daily except when major sporting events are shown. A sample menu is detailed below. Group bookings are very welcome, however must be booked in advance. We are happy to recommend the Beluga Canteen Restaurant located on Chambers Street which offers a choice of bar or fine dining menus and the Conservatory at the Royal Ettrick Hotel in Polwarth. Our full Scottish breakfast is included in all rates, and served in the bar between 8am and 10am each day. The reception area is located at the main entrance and serviced by our bar staff and management team. There are 8 bedrooms in the main building and eleven in the annexe, Alvanley House only 20 meters away, which has a security door. Each bedroom is bright and modern in décor, and offers: En suite bathroom or shower room Complimentary tea/coffee tray Satellite television Trouser press Hair dryer Direct dial telephone The rooms offer flexible accommodation from single to family rooms sleeping up to six people. The rooms to the front of the building have excellent views over the Bruntsfield Links. On a busy dry evening, noise from the bar may effect some front facing bedrooms. There is a night porter on duty through out the night should you require assistance. This hotel has no lift and is therefore unsuitable for the infirm.
