Opened as a conservation sanctuary in 1990 within easy reach in the A1 and the A14. Hamerton's 15 acres of parkland provide a safe home for a fascinating array of creatures from around the world.
The most important of the very few remaining mills on the River Ouse. In 1999 the National Trust completed a major project to reinstate one of the mill wheels, and install a turbine to generate electricity.
